Matthew Stifelman, PsyD

Certified School Psychologist & Limited Permit Clinician

Dr. Stifelman is a NYS Limited Permit Clincian and Certified School Psychologist. He earned his Psy.D. in School Psychology from St. John's University. He provides therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults using a collaborative, evidence-based approach grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Dr. Stifelman strives to create a warm and safe therapeutic environment where young people can develop healthy coping strategies, build resilience, and work toward their personal goals. He works to meet each client where they are, recognizing that every child and family has unique strengths, experiences, and goals. Dr. Stifelman has worked in a variety of settings, including public schools, alternative education placements, inpatient psychiatric centers, and outpatient community mental health clinics. His clinical interests include anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional regulation, school-related stress, social difficulties, and helping young people navigate relationships and major life transitions. When he's not working, Dr. Stifelman enjoys spending time with family and friends, cheering on his favorite sports teams, attending concerts, and cooking.
